Decision from the 3rd Dept. in Dickerson v. Thompson

March 25, 2010

We are pleased to announce this decision from the 3rd Dept. in Dickerson v. Thompson ruling that NY-resident LGBT DV victims in civil unions with their batterer who had nowhere to go for dissolution may now have some available relief—in our own state!

Counsel for the Plaintiff included Empire Justice Center's Amy Schwartz and Geri Pomerantz. Tom Ude, Jr. and Susan Sommer from Lambda Legal served as amicus.
