It is very important to watch your credit report.  It is not uncommon that consumers find errors on their reports.  There are three nationwide consumer credit reporting agencies (“CRAs”) and each report differently so you should check each report.  Consumers have the right to request one free annual credit report from each of the CRAs.  To order, go to www.annualcreditreport.com, call 877-322-8228, or complete the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mail it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281.

If you believe there is an error on your credit report, you may dispute the trade item by sending a dispute letter to the CRA.  The addresses for dispute letters to the main CRA's are:

Consumer Disclosure Center
P.O. Box 2000
