Rebecca is a senior staff attorney with the Consumer, Housing C.A.S.H. and Community Development Unit in Empire Justice Center’s Rochester Office.  

 

Rebecca represents individuals at risk of losing their homes as a result of predatory mortgage lending and provides technical assistance and training to other attorneys and advocates in the field.  In addition to her daily practice, she co-convenes the mortgage working group for the state-wide coalition, New Yorkers for Responsible Lending and is a member of the City of Rochester’s Foreclosure Task Force.  She also facilitates Rochester, New York’s predatory lending roundtable meetings to help educate local agencies on the newest consumer predatory scams and to identify local predatory lending patterns.

 

Prior to joining Empire Justice Center, she earned her law degree from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law and her Bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
