Kirsten E. Keefe is a senior staff attorney with the Consumer Housing, C.A.S.H. and Community Development Unit in Empire Justice Center’s Albany office.  

 

Kirsten works on anti-predatory lending initiatives and is a member of the HomeSave Coalition of the Capital Region.  Lately she has been focusing on policy and legislative work on the state and federal levels.  She is also frequent trainer of counselors and lawyers on consumer law issues and taught consumer law at the Beasley School of Law at Temple University. 

 

Kirsten is also the founding director of Americans for Fairness in Lending, a national message campaign to raise awareness of abusive lending practices and push for regulation and was appointed in 2009 as a member of the Federal Reserve Board’s Consumer Advisory Council.  Prior to returning to her hometown in upstate New York, Kirsten worked in the Consumer Housing Unit of Community Legal Services, Inc. (CLS) in Philadelphia, PA. 

 

She is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and the Beasley School of Law at Temple University.
