Saima Akhtar

Staff Attorney

Saima Akhtar is a staff attorney with the Consumer, Housing, C.A.S.H. and Community Development Unit in Empire Justice Center’s Albany office. 

She works in the areas of consumer law and public benefits.  Her areas of practice include sub-prime and predatory mortgage lending, the impact of mortgage foreclosure on tenants, access to benefits and economic justice for survivors of domestic violence. 

Saima is a graduate of Albany Law School of Union University and holds a Masters degree in Public Policy from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy from the University at Albany.
